Author: Moses (Rom. 10:19, quoting Deut. 32:21; Neh. 13:1, referring to Deut. 23:3;
Luke 20:28, referring to Deut. 25:5), the author of the five books of the Law
(31:9, 24; Luke 24:27, 44; John 1:45; 5:46; Acts 28:23; 2 Cor. 3:15). The final chapter (ch. 34) was probably written by someone other than Moses.
Time of Writing: Approximately 1452 B.C., before the end of Israel's wandering in the wilderness for forty years (Num. 32:13).
Place of Writing: In the plains of Moab (34:1).
Time Period Covered: The last two months of 1452 B.C., the fortieth year after the exodus from Egypt (1:3; 4:8).
This is how denominations are formed. The main direction is to come out of the system; it cannot change. "I began to realize that our practices have differed and deviated from our vision. Our vision was the same, our teaching was mostly the same, the truth is always the same, but our practice has really differed."
