A thirsty Savior and a thirsty sinner

There came a woman of Samaria to draw water. Jesus said to her, Give Me
something to drink.

For His disciples had gone away into the city to buy food.

The emptiness of religion's tradition and the fullness of life's living water

The Samaritan woman then said to Him, How
is it that You, being a Jew, ask for a drink from me, who am a Samaritan woman?

agift of God and who it is who says to you, Give Me a drink, you would have asked Him, and He would have given you

Are You greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank of it himself, as well as his sons and his cattle?

Jesus answered and said to her, Everyone who
1drinks of this water shall thirst again,

bby no means thirst forever; but the water that I will give him will become in him a fountain of water gushing up into

And they said to the woman, It is no longer because of your speaking
that we believe, for we ourselves have heard and know that this One is truly the

The need of the dying — life's healing

The weak and fragile people dying

asigns and wonders, you will by no means believe.

The royal official said to Him, Sir, come down before my little child dies.

Healing by the life-giving word and through believing

1word which Jesus said to him and went his way.

And as he was now going down, his slaves met him and said that his child was living.

So he asked them the hour in which he got better. They said then to him, Yesterday at the
1seventh hour the fever left him.

it was in that hour in which Jesus said to him, Your son lives; and he believed, he and his whole house.
