James 4

4:2
You 1alust and do not have; you

You aask and do not receive because you ask evilly that you may spend
it on your
bpleasures.
James 4
:4
4:4
1aAdulteresses, do you not know that the
2friendship of the
3bworld is enmity with God? Therefore whoever determines to be a
cfriend of the world is constituted an
4enemy of God.
James 4
:5
4:5
Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain:"The
1Spirit, whom He has caused to

4:11-12
James 4

Do not speak against
aone another, brothers. He who speaks against a brother or

James 4
:12
4:12
One is

Confiding not in self-will but in the Lord
4:13-17
James 4
:13
4:13
Come now, you who say, Today or tomorrow we
1will go into this or that city and spend a year there and do business and make a profit;
James 4
:14
4:14
Whereas you do not know the matter of
atomorrow, what your
blife will be; for you are a
1cvapor, which appears for a little while and then disappears.
James 4
:15
4:15
Instead you
ought to say, If the Lord
awills, we will both live and do this or that.
James 4

But now you
aboast in your

James 4
