Prov. 10 :1 10:1 The proverbs of Solomon.
aA wise son makes a father glad,
But a foolish son is a grief to his mother.
Prov. 10 :2 10:2 aTreasures of wickedness profit nothing,
But righteousness delivers from death.
Prov. 10 :3 10:3 Jehovah will not allow the soul of the righteous man to go hungry,
But He thrusts away the desire of the wicked.
Prov. 10 :4 10:4 A slack hand causes poverty,
But the hand of the diligent makes rich.
Prov. 10 :5 10:5 He who gathers in summer is a prudent son,
But he who sleeps at harvest time is a son who brings shame.
Prov. 10 :6 10:6 Blessings are upon the head of the righteous man,
1But the mouth of the wicked conceals violence.
Prov. 10 :7 10:7 The memory of the righteous man is blessed,
But the name of the wicked will rot.
Prov. 10 :8 10:8 The wise in heart will receive commandments,
But the foolish in speech will be cast down.
Prov. 10 :9 10:9 He who walks in integrity walks securely,
But he who perverts his ways will be known.

But the mouth of the wicked conceals violence.
Prov. 10 :12 10:12 Hatred stirs up strife,
But love acovers all transgressions.

But a rod is for the back of him who lacks sense.

The heart of the wicked is worth little.

But fools die for lack of sense.
Prov. 10 :22 10:22 It is the blessing of Jehovah that makes rich,
And He adds no sorrow with it.
Prov. 10 :23 10:23 Carrying out a wicked scheme is like sport to a fool,
But so is wisdom to a man of understanding.

And the desire of the righteous will be granted.

But the righteous man is an everlasting foundation.

So is the sluggard to those who send him.

But the years of the wicked will be shortened.

Prov. 10 :31 10:31 The mouth of the righteous man brings forth wisdom,
But the perverse tongue will be cut off.
