At the beginning of Jehovah’s speaking to Hosea, Jehovah said to Hosea,
Go, take to yourself a

2harlotries And children of harlotries,
For the land is entirely given over to
aharlotry,
And thus departs from Jehovah.

So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim. And she conceived and bore him a son.

For yet a little while

And they will appoint for themselves one head, and they will go up from the land,
