2. Sons of disobedience
a. Operated within by the aggregate spirit of all the evil angelic authorities with Satan as the ruler
b. Walking according to the ruler (Satan) of the authority of the air
c. Walking according to the age of this world
3. Children of wrath
a. By nature
b. Behaving themselves in the lust of their flesh
c. Doing the desires of the flesh and of the thoughts
4. Children of the Devil
a. Serpents, brood of vipers, brought forth by the old serpent (the Devil)
b. Doing the desire of their father the Devil
c. To perish with the Devil in the lake of fire
5. Enemies of God
a. In their mind
b. By evil works
6. Sons of Gehenna

B. After being saved
1. Children of God
a. Born of God, not of blood, nor of the will of flesh, nor of the will of man
b. Through their receiving of the Son of God by believing in His name
c. To have the eternal life — the life of God with the divine nature
2. Sons of God
a. Having received the spirit of sonship with the sonship
b. Destined unto glory
3. Partakers of the divine nature
a. Enjoying the riches of the divine nature through God’s precious and exceedingly great promises
b. Having escaped the corruption which is in the world by lust

4. Heirs of God
a. Joint heirs of Christ
b. According to the promise
c. According to the hope of eternal life
d. Through justification by the grace of Christ
e. Through regeneration in the resurrection of Christ
f. To inherit the Triune God as their inheritance with the Holy Spirit as the pledge
g. To share with all the saints in the light the Triune God embodied in Christ as their portion
h. To be glorified with Christ
i. To inherit an inheritance kept in the heavens as a living hope

7. Brothers of Christ as the firstborn Son of God
a. Predestinated to be conformed to the image of God’s Son
b. Born through the resurrection of Christ
c. The firstborn Son of God as He who sanctifies and they, the many sons of God, as those who are being sanctified, all being out of one Father, for which cause He is not ashamed to call them brothers
d. The firstborn Son of God declaring the Father’s name to His brothers, considering them the church, and singing hymns of praise unto the Father in their midst

1. Those who have believed in Christ as the Son of God according to God’s New Testament economy of the faith
2. Those who have received Christ as their generating life for them to become the children of God
3. Those who have believed into Christ as the Son of God to have an organic union with Him

C. Saints
1. Those who have been separated and made holy unto God
2. In Christ
3. By Christ with His redeeming blood positionally
4. By the Holy Spirit with God’s holy nature dispositionally
D. Christians
1. Those who bear a strong testimony for Christ that makes them distinct and peculiar in the eyes of the unbelievers
2. Those who are adherents of Christ, bearing His reproach
3. Those who are men of Christ, who are one with Christ, not only belonging to Him, but also having His life and nature in an organic union with Him, and who are living by Him, even living Him, in their daily life

A. Wheat of life
1. Separated from the chaff and to be gathered into the Lord’s barn
2. Growing with the tares and to be reaped into the Lord’s barn
B. Good seed
1. The sons of the kingdom
2. Sown by the Lord to grow into His kingdom
C. Fishers of men
1. To bring men out of the world into the kingdom of the heavens
2. By the gospel of the kingdom of the heavens
D. Salt of the earth
1. People of the kingdom of the heavens
2. Keeping the earth from being fully corrupted
E. Light of the world
1. People of the kingdom of the heavens
2. Shining in the darkness of the world

F. A lamp
1. Placed not under the bushel but on the lampstand
2. Shining to all who are in the house
3. Glorifying their Father who is in the heavens
G. A city situated upon a mountain
1. Elevated above all the surroundings
2. Impossible to be hidden
3. Consummating in the New Jerusalem situated upon the golden mountain, shining over and enlightening the new earth with the divine light
H. The sun
1. The sons of the kingdom as the righteous
2. Shining forth in the kingdom of their Father — the heavenly part of the millennium
I. Virgins
1. People of the kingdom of the heavens
2. Bearing the lamps (their spirits with the Spirit of God to bear the testimony of Christ) and going forth (going out of the world) to meet the bridegroom, the coming Christ
J. Plants
1. Planted by God through His servants
2. In the church
3. To grow by Christ as life
4. To be transformed into precious stones
K. Living stones
1. Transformed sinners
2. Being built up a spiritual house — the church

1. The Jewish believers, who came out of the sheepfold of Judaism through Christ as the door
2. The Gentile believers, who were brought in by Christ to be one flock (the church) with the Jewish believers
3. With Christ as their Shepherd, who laid down His soul life for them that they may have the divine life
M. Many grains of wheat
1. Produced out of the one grain — Christ
2. Through the death and resurrection of Christ
3. For the formation of one bread — the Body of Christ
N. Branches of the vine
1. Members of the Christ of God to form the organism of the Triune God in the divine dispensing
2. Abiding in the vine, the Christ of God
3. Bearing much fruit to glorify the Father for His expression

O. Vessels of mercy unto honor and glory
1. Chosen by God according to His sovereign mercy
2. Created by God
3. Unto honor with Christ as their treasure through regeneration
4. Unto honor through their cleansing of themselves from the vessels unto dishonor
5. Prepared by God unto glory through glorification — the last step of God’s full salvation
P. Branches of the cultivated olive tree
1. The cultivated olive tree being the God-chosen race of Israel with Christ as the reality of their life and everything
2. The Gentile believers as the branches of this cultivated olive tree having been grafted into it to be fellow partakers of the root of its fatness
Q. A spectacle
1. Like the show of the fights between criminals and wild beasts in the Roman amphitheater, exposed to the public as a gazingstock
2. To the world, both to angels and to men
3. Both in reproaches and in afflictions
4. The apostles, as the criminals, becoming the partakers with those who experienced the same
R. The offscouring of the world and the scum of all things
S. The temple of the Holy Spirit
1. The Holy Spirit from God being not only with the believers’ spirit but also in their Body as His dwelling
2. They are not their own, for they were bought by God with a price
3. They, as the dwelling of the Spirit, should glorify, express, God in their body

1. To receive the prize — an incorruptible crown

3. By putting off every encumbrance and the entangling sin
4. Running with endurance
5. Contending lawfully
V. Workman in carpentry

1. Beholding and reflecting with unveiled face the glory of the Lord
2. Being transformed into the image of the Lord from glory to glory, even as from the Lord Spirit
FF. Earthen vessels
1. Containing the Christ of glory as the excellent treasure received by them through the illumination of the gospel of the glory of Christ
2. With the excellence of the power of God
GG. Pillars
1. The prominent ones among them in the church today
2. The overcomers among them in the temple of God in the coming age and in eternity
HH. Luminaries in the world
1. Children of God, blameless and guileless, without blemish in the midst of a crooked and perverted generation
2. Shining among the sinful generation by reflecting the light of the sun, Christ
II. Good soldiers of Christ
1. Sharing the suffering of evil
2. Not entangling themselves with the affairs of life that they may please the one who enlisted them
3. Carrying on a war not at their own expense
JJ. Laboring husbandmen
1. The first to partake of the fruits
2. By awaiting the precious fruit through longsuffering

KK. Stars
1. The shining ones in the churches who are the serving ones (angels) of the churches, responsible for the testimony of Jesus
2. Held in the hand of Christ the Head of the church
3. Participating in and enjoying the seven Spirits of God
LL. The man-child
1. The overcomers among them
2. About to shepherd all the nations
3. To be caught up to God and to His throne
MM. The firstfruit and the harvest
1. The firstfruit
a. The early overcomers among the believers as the first ripe ones in God’s field, reaped before the harvest as firstfruit to God and to the Lamb
b. “Virgins” who were not defiled, who followed the Lamb wherever He went, and in whose mouth no lie was found, for they were without blemish
c. Purchased from among men to be raptured to mount Zion in the heavens where the Lamb is, with His name and the name of His Father written on their foreheads
2. The harvest
a. The majority of the believers who will be ripe later than the firstfruit
b. To be reaped by Christ as the reaper toward the end of the great tribulation at His coming back sitting on a white cloud
NN. Jasper and other precious stones
1. Jasper signifying the appearance of God shining with the glory of God as the light of the New Jerusalem for the expression of God
2. Other precious stones signifying the riches of the beauty of Christ in different aspects for the foundation of God’s eternal dwelling
