Psa. 62
To the choir director, to Jeduthun. A aPsalm of David
Psa. 62 :1 62:1 My soul waits in silence for God alone;
My salvation is from Him.
Psa. 62 :2 62:2 He alone is my arock and my salvation,
My bhigh retreat; I will not be greatly shaken.
Psa. 62 :3 62:3 How long will you assail a man
So that you may slay him, all of you,
Like a leaning wall or a tottering fence?
Psa. 62 :4 62:4 They only make plans to thrust him down from his dignity;
They take delight in lies;
With their mouth they bless,
But inwardly they curse. Selah
Psa. 62 :5 62:5 My soul, wait in silence for God alone,
For my expectation is from Him.
Psa. 62 :6 62:6 He alone is my arock and my salvation,
My bhigh retreat; I will not be shaken.
Psa. 62 :7 62:7 On God my salvation and my glory depend;
The arock of my strength, my brefuge, is in God.
Psa. 62 :8 62:8 Trust in Him at all times, O people;
aPour out your heart before Him;
God is a brefuge to us. Selah
Psa. 62 :9 62:9 Men of low degree are but a vapor;
Men of high degree, a lie.
In the balances they go up;
Together they are less than a avapor.
Psa. 62 :10 62:10 Do not trust in oppression,
And do not vainly hope in robbery;
If wealth increases,
Do not set your heart on it.
Psa. 62 :11 62:11 Once has God spoken;
Twice have I heard this,
That strength belongs to God.
Psa. 62 :12 62:12 To You also, O Lord, belongs lovingkindness;
For You arepay every man according to his work.
