Prov. 15 :1 15:1 A asoft answer turns away anger,
But a grievous word stirs up anger.
Prov. 15 :2 15:2 The tongue of the wise utters knowledge well,
But the mouth of fools pours out folly.
Prov. 15 :3 15:3 The eyes of Jehovah are in every place,
Keeping watch on the evil and the good.
Prov. 15 :4 15:4 A soothing tongue is a tree of life,
But perverseness in it is a breaking of the spirit.
Prov. 15 :5 15:5 A fool despises his father’s correction,
But he who regards reproof gets prudence.
Prov. 15 :6 15:6 In the house of the righteous man there is much treasure,
But in the income of the wicked there is trouble.
Prov. 15 :7 15:7 The lips of the wise disperse knowledge,
But the heart of fools does not do so.
Prov. 15 :8 15:8 The asacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to Jehovah,
But the prayer of the upright is His delight.
Prov. 15 :9 15:9 The way of the wicked man is an abomination to Jehovah,
But He loves one who apursues righteousness.
Prov. 15 :10 15:10 There is grievous correction for one who forsakes the way,
And he who hates reproof will die.
Prov. 15 :11 15:11 Sheol and 1Abaddon lie open before Jehovah.
How much more the hearts of the children of men!
Prov. 15 :12 15:12 A scorner does not love him who reproves him;
He will not go to the wise.
Prov. 15 :13 15:13 A ajoyful heart makes a cheerful countenance,
But by sorrow of heart the spirit is broken.
Prov. 15 :14 15:14 The heart of one who has understanding seeks knowledge,
But the mouth of fools feeds on folly.
Prov. 15 :15 15:15 All the days of the afflicted are evil,
But he who is of a cheerful heart has a continual feast.
Prov. 15 :16 15:16 aBetter is a little with the fear of Jehovah
Than great treasure and turmoil with it.
Prov. 15 :17 15:17 Better is a dinner of vegetables where love is
Than a fattened ox and hatred with it.
Prov. 15 :18 15:18 A wrathful man stirs up contention,

Prov. 15 :19 15:19 The way of the sluggard is like a hedge of thorns,
But the path of the upright is paved.
Prov. 15 :20 15:20 aA wise son makes a father glad,
But a foolish man despises his mother.
Prov. 15 :21 15:21 Folly is joy to him who lacks sense,
But a man of understanding makes straight his going.
Prov. 15 :22 15:22 Where there is no counsel, plans are frustrated;
But in the multitude of counselors they are established.
Prov. 15 :23 15:23 A man has joy in the apt answer of his mouth;
And a aword in its season, how good it is!
Prov. 15 :24 15:24 To the wise man the way of life leads upward,
That he may depart from Sheol below.
Prov. 15 :25 15:25 Jehovah will tear down the house of the proud,
But He will establish the territory of the widow.
Prov. 15 :26 15:26 Evil plans are an abomination to Jehovah,
But pleasant words are pure.
Prov. 15 :27 15:27 He who is greedy for again troubles his own house,
But he who hates bribes will live.
Prov. 15 :28 15:28 The heart of the righteous man ponders how to answer,
But the mouth of the wicked pours out evil things.
Prov. 15 :29 15:29 Jehovah is far from the wicked,
But He hears the aprayer of the righteous.
Prov. 15 :30 15:30 The light of the eyes rejoices the heart,
And good news makes the bones fat.
Prov. 15 :31 15:31 The ear that listens to the reproof of life
Will lodge among the wise.
Prov. 15 :32 15:32 He who ignores instruction despises his own soul,
But he who listens to reproof acquires understanding.
Prov. 15 :33 15:33 aThe fear of Jehovah is the instruction of wisdom,
And humility goes before honor.
